Software Engineer/Senior Software Engineer (at the rank of IT Technician/IT Officer) in the Department of Computer
Science (Ref.: 518863) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term
basis with contract end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement
benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of
renewal).
Applicants should have a recognised degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline. This application is for multiple roles, applicants are expected to be familiar with one of the following technologies: mobile application framework (such as Flutter or Unity), modern web application frameworks (such as Laravel or ExpressJS), modern data analytics frameworks (such as Spark or PyTorch), or cloud-based analytics solutions (such as Amazon SageMaker or Azure Synapse, Databricks). Experience on docker or other container technologies will be a plus. They should also have good problem-solving skills and communication skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Fresh graduates are welcomed. Applicants with more work experience or qualifications in software development may be considered for the post of IT Officer.
The appointee will be responsible for system development and testing of a data collection platform and/or a data analytics platform for our project partners. They will also have the opportunities to communicate with the stakeholders for user training and feedback collections.
